A precision pulse spot welder built for the jewelry bench, joining gold, silver, platinum and steel jump rings, prongs and fine wire in a single controlled spark, without solder or flux, for repair benches and small production runs.
Key Selling Points
- Pulse spark welding forms a solid weld pool instantly, so joins hold without adding solder or flux
- 0.5-30A adjustable output lets you match power to wire size, from delicate fine wire to heavier ring shanks
- Coarse and fine dual dials give repeatable, precise current control for consistent welds job after job
- Compatible with gold, silver, platinum, K gold and steel, covering most jewelry repair and assembly metals
- Foot pedal trigger keeps both hands free to position the workpiece and tweezers during welding
- Compact 30 x 23 x 17 cm / 11.81 x 9.06 x 6.69 in bench footprint fits alongside other jewelry tools
About This Product
This jewelry spot welder uses plasma high-frequency discharge to form a molten pool right at the joint, giving jewelers a fast, powder-free way to close jump rings, attach prongs and repair fine wire without a torch.
The adjustable 0.5-30A output and 0.6-1.2mm welding diameter range suit both hobbyists learning spot welding and professional benches doing repeated repair or assembly work, with a wider current window and higher rated power than a fixed-output entry-level welder for more flexibility across wire sizes and job types.
If you need something more professional or more budget-friendly, take a look at our full jewelry welding equipment collection to find the current range and feature set that best fits your workload and budget.
How to Use
- Connect the electrode clamp to the negative output and the electrode pedestal to the positive output
- Keep the tungsten needle (1.5mm / 0.06in diameter) sharp; re-sharpen on a grinding wheel when it dulls
- Turn on the power switch, then set the coarse and fine dials to match the metal and wire size
- Position the workpiece with tweezers so the joint sits about 5mm / 0.2in from the tungsten needle
- Press the foot pedal to fire the weld, then release to complete the spot weld

Pro Tips
- Start with a lower current setting on the coarse dial and step up gradually to avoid overheating fine wire
- Keep the tungsten needle tip clean and sharply pointed for a consistent, focused spark
- Hold the working distance close to 5mm / 0.2in; too far apart weakens the weld pool
- Test settings on scrap metal of the same type before welding a finished piece
- Store the tungsten needle and tweezers dry to prevent corrosion between uses
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this welder need solder or flux?
No. It uses plasma high-frequency discharge to form the weld pool directly, so no solder or flux is needed.
What metals can I weld with it?
Gold, silver, platinum, K gold and steel within the 0.6-1.2mm welding diameter range.
Can it weld thick metal stock or structural joints?
No. It's built for fine jewelry work like jump rings, prongs and fine wire, not heavy structural welding.
Why is my weld weak or inconsistent?
Check that the tungsten needle is sharp, the working distance is close to 5mm / 0.2in, and the current matches your wire size.
Is this available in 110V and 220V?
Yes, it's offered as two separate versions, 110V and 220V. Select the option matching your power supply before ordering.
